Inspired by a Pioneer

Named in honor of Marguerite "Peggy" Guggenheim (1898-1979), a central figure in 20th-century art, the Peggy Art Prize embodies her spirit of discovery and unwavering support for avant-garde artists. Niece of Solomon R. Guggenheim, founder of the Guggenheim Foundation, Peggy forged her own path, championing Surrealism and Abstract Expressionism and launching the careers of numerous modern masters.

The Peggy Art Prize, established by 50CA Asia in 2022, seeks to identify and elevate contemporary artists who demonstrate exceptional creativity, conceptual depth, and a significant contribution to current artistic discourse, reflecting Peggy's own commitment to groundbreaking art.
