Our Story
Founded in 2022, 50 Contemporary Artists Asia (50CA) emerged from a recognized need to create a dedicated platform for talented independent contemporary artists often working outside traditional institutional frameworks. We observed a wealth of innovative work across Asia and internationally that deserved greater visibility and support.
Our mission is to bridge this gap, providing artists with the recognition, opportunities, and connections necessary to thrive on the global stage. We operate with the belief that diverse artistic voices enrich cultural dialogue and push the boundaries of contemporary practice.
Our Approach
50CA employs a multi-faceted approach to support artists:
- Prestigious Awards: Our annual Peggy Art Prize and Stein Arts Award provide significant recognition and support, adjudicated by an independent international jury based solely on artistic merit.
